Technician Level 3Level 3 Technician - Rail - SISS - North East regionReporting to the Team Leader the Level 3 Technician will carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance activities on SISS (Station Information and Security Systems) across our Train Operating Companies contracts. You will be covering mainly the North East region.SISS is essential to ensuring the travelling public are correctly informed and safe as they commute across our customer's rail networks, our maintenance service is critical to functioning of these systemsWhat youll do:Daily reactive maintenance activities across SISS and Telephony systems (CCTV systems, IP Networks, Help Points, Screens, Public Address, CIS, PAVA and WiFi)Daily, weekly, monthly and annual planned maintenance activities as defined by the Team LeaderRemote monitoring of all systems to identify issues and implement fixes;Testing and fault finding on equipment, systems and associated infrastructure cabling (copper / fibre)Undertaking of technical investigations and audits.Who you are:The successful person will have previous experience of undertaking maintenance activities, both corrective and planned, to ensure effective restoration / repair of customer systems and ensure all associated processes and reporting requirements are followed.Key requirements:Knowledge of Communications systems and their applications; Ideally previous SISSProven fault-finding skills and experience including the use of suitable test equipment;Proven IT skills (laptop, Office 365);Experience of working with SLA driven maintenance contracts.Good organisational skills, including multitasking and time managementFull UK driving licenceThe additional benefits with this role:34 days holiday, including public holidays, plus the option to buy or sell five days each yearCommercial VehicleCompany pension schemeA range of family friendly policiesOccupational health support and wellbeing PortalDiscounts on Cinema, Restaurants and Shopping with Telent Reward schemeWhat we offer:A career at Telent can span many sectors, roles, technologies and clients giving you the opportunity to develop, learn new skills and make an impact.
