My client, a fast-growing international automotive brand backed by one of China’s largest vehicle manufacturers, is looking to hire an experienced Technical Support Engineer to support the continued expansion of its UK dealer network.

Title: Technical Support Engineer / Field Technical Specialist

Location: London / UK Wide Travel

Salary: up to 55 K + Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of reported vehicle technical issues and drive cases through to resolution
• Provide on-site technical support to dealer partners across the UK
• Diagnose complex faults using diagnostic tools, engineering logs and technical data
• Escalate unresolved issues to engineering teams and coordinate solutions
• Support quality investigations and recurring product concerns
• Assist customer experience teams on escalated product complaints
• Deliver technical seminars, presentations and best-practice sessions to dealer technicians
• Create and update technical bulletins, troubleshooting guides and training content
• Support warranty decisions through technical analysis and recommendations
• Travel regularly across the UK to support dealer network needs

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years’ automotive technical support / master technician / field engineer experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across modern vehicle systems
• Experience working with dealer networks or OEM aftersales environments
• Knowledge of EV / Hybrid systems highly desirable
• Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable with regular travel
