Support Engineer - Very Well-Backed Start-Up - Fintech - London


Support Engineer required to join a very well-backed Fintech start-up who are reshaping how underlooked businesses manage payments, credit, and financial workflows. They are growing 20% month on month and are gearing to scale their current team of 9 rapidly.


You will be working closely with the CTO, taking over a section of his work where he has been working with clients in the senior team, and will work closely with customers to troubleshoot issues, improve user experience, and ensure seamless adoption of the platform. This is an opportunity to join early, have a meaningful impact, and help shape the future of the product and support function.



Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer technical inquiries
  • Own complex troubleshooting cases, diagnosing and resolving issues related to the platform, integrations, and system workflows
  • Document solutions, FAQs, and internal processes to improve efficiency and knowledge-sharing
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex cases and influence roadmap improvements
  • Support onboarding, setup, and training for new customers
  • Proactively identify patterns, bugs, or bottlenecks and suggest improvements


Qualifications

  • Circa 2 years experience in technical support or customer-facing engineering roles
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to translate technical issues into clear explanations
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, operating systems, and basic networking concepts
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
