A global engineering company, at launch stage on a next- innovative diesel powertrain unit has a new vacancy for a Technical Support Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for delivering technical training and support to new customers, ensuring a world-class level of service. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engine technology and a customer-focused approach.
The Role
Provide first-line technical support, both remotely and on-site at customers.
Respond to technical queries, delivering exceptional customer service from initial troubleshooting through to resolution.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and breakdowns efficiently.
Work closely with internal teams, particularly Engineering and Customer Support, to maintain strong product knowledge and ensure effective technical solutions.
Deliver high-quality face-to-face customer support and training programs, acting as a brand ambassador for the company.
Review, assess, and adjudicate warranty claims where required.
Support customer demonstrations, testing, and field trials, ensuring optimal product performance and customer understanding of system capabilities.
Assist members of the Commercial team and wider organisation as required to meet customer needs.
The Person
Minimum 5 years’ experience working on Diesel Engines.
Previous experience in a customer facing, field service or support function.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Willing and able to travel globally.
Previous involvement in new product launches is advantageous.
Able to deliver and communicate complex technical solutions
