The Advocate Group is proud to be exclusively partnering with a top global FMCG brand, recognised for its scale, innovation and market-leading product portfolio, to support the hire of a Technical Specialist within their EMEA Operations team.

This business continues to invest heavily in innovation, with a fast-moving pipeline of new products launching across Europe and beyond. This role sits at the critical final stage of the innovation process, ensuring new formulas are successfully implemented and executed at manufacturing sites.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, execution-led technical role, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to manufacturing, working cross-functionally, and playing a key role in bringing products to life.

Reporting into a Senior Technical Manager, you’ll support the delivery of new products across a third-party manufacturing network, working closely with NPD, QA, QC, Planning and Supply Chain teams.

With exposure across EMEA (including international travel), this is a strong opportunity to build deep technical experience within a globally recognised FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and execute manufacturing trials across EMEA production sites
  • Assist with the implementation of formulas into live production environments
  • Prepare trial plans, reports and site-specific manufacturing instructions
  • Conduct product tasting and sensory assessments against reference standards
  • Work closely with QA and QC teams to manage quality, compliance and risk
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during trials and early-stage production
  • Build strong relationships with third-party manufacturers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and manage tasks within internal systems

What We’re Looking For

  • A technically curious, hands-on individual with exposure to manufacturing or production environments
  • Experience working within a quality framework (QA / QC interaction highly beneficial)
  • Comfortable spending time on manufacturing sites and building strong working relationships
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Confident communicator, able to work cross-functionally and externally
  • Open to regular travel (c.50%) across EMEA

This role is not about being a finished article — attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn are key.
