Technical Specialist

Job Description

Being the best is important to this firm. They're trusted by thousands of UK financial planners, and you don't achieve that without excellence as standard. When they want the best, they find the best person for the job.

This role is remote, demonstrating the company's trust in its staff. You'll leverage your technical knowledge to resolve issues for the many IFAs who rely on this business for support.

The primary focus will be on pension queries (via phone and email), but you will also handle investment and tax questions. Besides being a problem solver, you may also participate in training sessions, such as webinars, which adds an extra layer of responsibility. You'll join an existing team of 6 specialists with extensive experience, some nearing retirement, making this a strategic hire with excellent onboarding and mentoring. Salary is up to £60,000.

Benefits include a pension, 25 days holiday, PMI, and a benefits package that is under review and likely to expand. This is not a sales role, so there is no bonus—it's a support role focused on helping clients and colleagues.

Ideal candidates will be pensions specialists or generalists eager to develop their pensions knowledge. About two-thirds of team queries are pension-related. The team is all Level 6 qualified, but this is not a requirement now; there is an expectation that this is a career path you will pursue.
