Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a client, a rapidly growing clean-energy company operating a nationwide network of LNG and CNG refuelling stations. The company is expanding its technical service organization and is looking to fill this role with immediate start.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Specialist for Service to support the operation and maintenance of LNG/CNG refuelling stations across a defined region in the UK.

In this role, you will:

Operate and maintain LNG/CNG refuelling stations within your assigned region Work closely with on-site colleagues to ensure high network availability Execute preventive maintenance tasks safely and efficiently Respond rapidly to station failures to minimise downtime Use technical documentation (P&IDs, manuals, diagrams) during your work Record maintenance activities via CMMS Be flexible to support occasional work outside standard hours Travel within the UK and occasionally within Europe when required

Requirements

Level 3 NVQ or equivalent experience 5+ years’ experience as a technician or field engineer in the industrial gases or renewable sector Strong hands-on problem-solving skills with a logical approach Experience in: Servicing, breakdowns, and planned preventive maintenance Electromechanical systems Pneumatic systems Instrumentation Small bore pipework & fittings 24V DC and 240V electrical systems Ability to work with technical documents (P&IDs, electrical diagrams, manuals) CMMS experience Flexible working approach and strong interpersonal skills Comfortable managing contractors

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of LNG/CNG, pressure systems, ATEX, refrigeration systems, or relevant CompEx certifications (e.g., 01–04, 11).
