Technical Services Supervisor Facilities ManagementLocation:CardiffContract Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Services Supervisor to lead a team of static and mobile engineers within a healthcare facilities environment. You will ensure the safe, efficient delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Works, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and contractual obligations.The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of building engineering services, supporting compliance standards, and delivering excellent customer service. This position also requires the ability to provide technical support during emergency situations to maintain operational continuity.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipSupervise and lead a team of engineers, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery of maintenance tasks.Manage day-to-day team operations, including HR-related matters.Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors to ensure effective service delivery.Support lifecycle project delivery and identify opportunities for operational improvement.Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with statutory, technical and legislative requirements, including Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality and Legionella standards.Act as an Appointed/Responsible Person for relevant technical disciplines where required.Ensure RAMS, PPE, test equipment and working practices meet compliance standards.Record and report accidents, incidents and near misses promptly.Maintenance & Technical DeliveryManage and coordinate all statutory and specialist maintenance activities.Maintain accurate data and job records within the CAFM system.Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, including critical spares management.Provide engineering support during emergency situations.Reporting & PerformanceMonitor staff and contractor performance.Ensure KPIs, SLAs and all associated documentation are completed accurately.Produce audits, reports and operational summaries as required.Support labour planning and identify efficiency opportunities.Customer & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the first point of escalation for clients and customers.Build strong, professional relationships with stakeholders.Respond promptly to verbal and written customer queries.Skills, Experience & QualificationsMinimum 5 years experience as a multi-skilled engineer, qualified in a core discipline.Strong background in Facilities Management and building services.Knowledge of HTM (Healthcare Technical Memoranda) desirable.Experience using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office applications.Ability to make clear decisions under pressure.Proven experience supervising or leading engineering teams.Who Were Looking ForA proactive, hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
