Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.\nDue to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Technical Services Manager to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.\nWe are looking for an Technical Services Manager who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.\nAs the Technical Services Manager, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.\nThe Technical Services Manager, will be responsible for:\n * Enhance the performance of estates shift teams through effective leadership and a commitment to excellence and a 'right first-time' approach.\n * Implement personalized development plans via Staff Development Reviews and cultivate innovation to boost efficiency and quality.\n * Provide expert advice for lifecycle works and capital projects while engaging external consultants and participating in project boards for large-scale initiatives.\n * Proactively manage budget expenditures and ensure service contracts provide optimal value.\n * Foster a culture of continuous improvement by networking with other FM sites, conducting audits, and implementing supportive IT systems.\n * Communicate effectively with regular reports for the Director of Estates and through collaboration with other Mitie Directors, while coordinating incident reporting to ensure seamless information flow.\nTo be successful for this Technical Services Manager role you must have:\n * Mechanical Engineering background.\n * A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Building Services Engineering or mechanical engineering; membership in professional bodies like IMechE or CIBSE is desirable.\n * Extensive Hard FM assets and services in a complex health environment.\n * Strong knowledge of engineering systems in healthcare, including medical gas and ventilation systems.\n * Familiarity with Health Technical Memorandum standards related to the design, construction, and maintenance of healthcare facilities.\n * Previous experience as an Authorised Person within NHS guidelines is preferable.\nIf you feel you have the necessary skills set and experience to perform this Technical Services Manager role, and you are interested in an opportunity offering unparalleled career development, please apply now
