About the Role We are seeking a commercially minded Technical Sales Manager to join our growing team. This is a customer-facing role that combines technical expertise with sales acumen, supporting clients in identifying and implementing tailored engineering solutions. You will act as a key link between customers, engineering, and internal teams—translating technical requirements into practical solutions while driving business growth. Key Responsibilities
Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and application needs Provide pre-sales technical support, including product selection, recommendations, and solution design Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and presentations Support the sales process from initial enquiry through to order placement Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to ensure solutions meet customer expectations Assist in identifying new business opportunities and markets Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity
Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field Basic understanding of electronics and/or technical systems Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving Commercial awareness and interest in sales Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise
Desirable (Not Essential)
Experience in a technical sales, applications, or customer-facing engineering role Familiarity with components, systems integration, or engineering solutions Experience working with CRM systems
