Job Description
Technical Sales Manager - Air Systems\n Location: Based near Leicester (UK-wide & international travel)\n Salary: £50,000-£70,000 + up to 25% company bonus\n Benefits: Company car or allowance (BMW/Mercedes + personal use), Pension 3-5%, 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n Hours: Mon-Thu 8:30-5:00, Fri 8:30-3:30 (early finish)\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager with strong knowledge of air systems to take full sales ownership of a high-value portfolio. Based in Leicester, this role offers a rare blend of technical challenge, autonomy and global exposure - with around 50% of business overseas and regular international travel (typically one week at a time), alongside UK site visits 2-3 days per week.\n\nYou will manage the full sales lifecycle from enquiry, technical discussions and design input through to quotation, negotiation and closing - personally generating £1.5m+ annual revenue.\n\nThis isn't a "sales chat" role. We want someone credible, technically strong and able to work consultatively with customers.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage full technical sales process with UK and global customers\n\nTravel to customer sites in the UK and overseas (regular travel required)\n\nTake ownership for quotations, pricing and negotiations\n\nBuild strong customer relationships and develop long-term business partnerships\n\nWork closely with internal engineering and project teams\n\nDeliver a personal sales revenue target of £1.5m+ annually\n\nExperience, Skills & Qualifications\n\nHNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)\n\nStrong background in air systems / air handling / similar engineering environments\n\nAbility to understand technical solutions and communicate confidently with engineers and customers\n\nExperienced and credible - ideally replacing someone with long-standing industry knowledge\n\nAbility to read AutoCAD or 3D drawings (highly desirable)\n\nStrong commercial mindset with the ability to manage high-value projects\n\nThe Team & Environment\n\nEstablished sales team of six\n\nReporting to Managing Director \n\nStable, successful business with global customer base\n\nPackage & Benefits\n\n£50,000-£70,000 base salary\n\nUp to 25% bonus based on company performance\n\nCompany car or car allowance (premium hybrid options available)\n\nMonday to Friday role with early Friday finish\n\nHow to Apply\n If you're a technically strong Technical Sales Manager with experience in air systems and want a challenging role with global scope, we'd love to hear from you.\n\nEmail Kathryn.van- for a confidential conversation
