Technical Manager

Location: Canterbury

Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday

Salary: £30k Dependent on experience

Role Summary:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee quality assurance and compliance within a busy packhouse environment. This role is critical in ensuring food safety, legality, and adherence to BRCGS standards, while supporting operational efficiency and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the Quality Assurance team, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and company standards.

* Prepare for and support external audits, responding to auditor queries.

* Maintain product specifications and ensure traceability across products and packaging.

* Conduct internal audits, hygiene checks, and compliance spot checks.

* Investigate and resolve customer complaints, implementing corrective actions.

* Monitor KPIs and prepare monthly reports for senior management.

* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and company procedures.

About You:

* Strong understanding of fresh produce standards and specifications.

* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

* Good written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.

* Experience in a production environment .

* Flexible, proactive, and able to work collaboratively across teams.
