OSCAR ASSOCIATES (UK) LIMITED invites a seasoned candidate to join as a Technical Lead based in Liverpool. The role offers a competitive salary of £70,000–£80,000 DOE and hybrid working arrangements. About the Role We are looking for a Technical Lead with deep expertise in the Microsoft technology stack to drive the design, development, and delivery of robust software solutions. This position blends hands‑on technical leadership with mentorship and strategic oversight, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture, coding, and team enablement. Key Responsibilities
Lead technical design and development across projects built on .NET Core, C#, Azure, and SQL Server. Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with business goals and best practices. Guide and mentor developers through code reviews and foster a culture of technical excellence. Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and QA teams to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery. Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve system performance, developer productivity, and overall solution quality. Oversee DevOps practices—including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automated testing within Azure environments. Ensure compliance with security standards, data protection, and governance requirements. Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, providing technical insight and recommendations.
Essential Experience
7+ years of professional experience in software development, with strong expertise in C# and .NET/.NET Core. Proven experience designing and delivering cloud‑native applications on Microsoft Azure. Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and event‑driven systems. Proficiency with SQL Server and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework). Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar. Excellent understanding of software architecture patterns, including CQRS, DDD, and dependency injection. Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with Power Platform, Dynamics 365, or SharePoint. Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes). Exposure to front‑end technologies (React, Angular, or Blazor). Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and API development.
