Join our team as a Technical Facilities Manager on a key Defence contract at the prestigious Telemetry & Command Station in Oakhanger.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of hard FM services across a technically complex site, managing the full PPM and reactive maintenance programme and overseeing the performance of a team of 6 shift engineers. You’ll ensure operational excellence, compliance, and seamless service across all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and air-conditioning systems. With the site’s high technical demands, a strong electrical background is essential, and you will be required to hold - or work towards - AP Electrical status while managing the contract.

Ensure full compliance with statutory obligations, health & safety, SFG20, and quality standards
Conduct regular site audits and maintain an effective assurance and compliance regime
Oversee and monitor additional small works and subcontractor performance
Support FM reporting, operational planning, and performance tracking against KPIs & SLAs
What We’re Looking For:
A relevant technical qualification is essential - ideally electrical - as AP Electrical responsibilities form part of the role
Proven track record delivering PPM/reactive programmes and managing KPIs and SLAs
Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, ideally within a technical or critical environment
Strong understanding of SFG20, CDM, statutory compliance, and HSE requirements
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
IOSH (or equivalent) certification required
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong Facilities Manager to take ownership of a complex secure site, build strong client relationships, and drive engineering performance within a Defence environment.
