Technical Director

£75,000 – £95,000 + benefits
Shape the future of technology that makes everyday products safer and more reliable.
You'll lead the technical direction in the design and development of advanced contact cleaning equipment, used in global industrial manufacturing. With full ownership of the product roadmap and strategy, you'll drive innovation and value engineering for both new and existing equipment.
On top of that, you'll get a generous pension, 15% bonus, full private health care and 5 times death in service.
You'll take charge of the technical function, guiding the design and development of new products and enhancing existing ones. Your expertise will influence the direction of the business and the solutions we deliver to our clients.
You'll also have the chance to work closely with leadership, developing strategies and driving innovation in technologies that support our strategic goals.
What you’ll do
Leading open innovation, you’ll identify and assess new technologies and opportunities, guiding them through a structured decision-making process. You'll spearhead strategic mapping of core competencies, turning technical strengths into commercial advantages.
Working on complex projects, you’ll define and lead development efforts, translating business needs into technical solutions. Your insights will shape product development and long-term technology strategies.
You'll also champion safety and lean principles, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
What you’ll need
* Proven experience leading design and development teams across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
* Hands-on experience managing new product design and development projects, delivering innovative solutions to market
* Degree-level qualification in mechanical engineering, controls engineering, or product design engineering
* Experience in designing capital equipment or factory automation, driving technical advancements
