As a Technical Director at WSP you will typically be working on a variety of projects at once, from a university in Scotland to a high‑rise residential tower in London, and many international engagements. Your goal is to enable innovative architectural design while ensuring fire safety. In the day‑to‑day role you will review design information, liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures, present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and advise the design team on safety‑enhancing changes. You will also attend client updates and team briefings. Support will be provided for professional registration via IFE and other organisations, and you will be eligible for a bespoke development programme covering technical report writing, project management, influential communication, commercial concepts, teamwork challenges and continuous improvement. Qualifications and Experience

BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Extensive experience in the fire engineering consulting industry. Willingness to be based at any of WSP’s UK major offices.
