Oversee and ensure full compliance across the organisation, managing policies and procedures while providing expert technical support across a diverse range of activities within their specialist area.\n\nClient Details\n\nThe organisation is a well-established not-for-profit entity that operates in Newcastle Upon Tyne. It is committed to maintaining high standards in facilities management to support its mission and objectives.\n\nDescription\n\nLead statutory compliance across hard services, ensuring all policies, procedures, and Safe Systems of Work meet current legislation and best practice.\nOversee compliance activities including inspections, surveys, statutory testing, PPM, remedial works, and accurate certification.\nConduct audits and quality checks on contractors, ensuring competence and driving continuous improvement.\nProvide expert technical advice across fire safety, electrical systems, gas, lifts, ventilation, water hygiene, and asbestos.\nDevelop technical specifications for maintenance and lifecycle projects, ensuring full regulatory compliance.\nAct as a key liaison with consultants, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders on complex technical issues.\nManage day‑to‑day compliance operations, including repairs, maintenance, and project delivery.\nSupport business continuity planning, risk assessments, and safety‑critical documentation.\nMonitor regulatory changes, identify risks, and implement improvement strategies.\nDrive performance of life‑safety contracts and support the introduction of new technologies to enhance safety and efficiency.\nDeliver training and updates to promote a strong compliance culture.\nMaintain up‑to‑date specialist knowledge through ongoing CPD.Profile\n\nStrong knowledge of building construction, building standards, statutory compliance, and building services legislation.\nUnderstanding of CDM Regulations and wider compliance legislation.\nProven experience in fire safety compliance, estates safety, and fall‑arrest requirements.\nSolid understanding of statutory obligations across asbestos, electrical, fire, gas, mechanical, and water safety.\nTrack record of delivering compliance within a regulated building services environment.\nAbility to interpret legislation, regulatory standards, and best‑practice guidance.\nExperience with compliance reporting, performance monitoring, and contractor audits.\nKnowledge of compartmentation, fire doors, passive fire protection, fire stopping, fire dampers, and related systems.\nStrong problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions.\nAbility to build effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.\nExperience working independently and managing unexpected issues.\nRelevant qualification (Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience).\nIOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification.Job Offer\n\nCompetitive salary ranging from £47,389 to £58,225 per annum.\n35 days holiday + bank holidays + plus additional days\nOpportunity to work within the not-for-profit industry in Newcastle Upon Tyne.\nPermanent role offering stability and career progression opportunities.If you are ready to make a positive impact as a Technical Compliance Manager, we encourage you to apply now and join this reputable organisation in Newcastle Upon Tyne
