Im recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected technical services provider within the fire, security and M&E sector. As part of continued growth and increased contract demand, they are now looking to appoint a Technical Compliance Manager to take ownership of technical standards, compliance, and quality assurance across their service and maintenance operations.
This is a pivotal role within the business, working closely with senior operational leadership to ensure all engineering activity is delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest technical standard. Youll play a key role in protecting the companys reputation for excellence while driving continual improvement across people, processes and performance.
The Role As Technical Compliance Manager, you will provide technical leadership and oversight across all service and maintenance contracts. Youll be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation, British Standards, health & safety requirements and contract specifications, while embedding a culture of quality and accountability across the engineering teams.
Working in close partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, youll support operational performance through audits, training, technical guidance and data-led insight.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Compliance Provide technical leadership across all service and maintenance activities

Ensure engineering works comply with legislation, British Standards and contract requirements

Develop, implement and maintain compliance frameworks aligned with ISO and H&S standards

Lead technical audits, inspections and compliance reviews

Maintain compliance documentation, certification records and training databases

Operational Collaboration
Work closely with service leadership to align delivery with technical standards

Provide technical support to helpdesk and field teams during fault diagnosis and quoting

Review service data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities

Training & Competency
Identify skills gaps and manage training and competency assessments

Maintain a structured engineer competency matrix

Deliver toolbox talks, workshops and technical updates

Ensure engineers are fully authorised, trained and compliant

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
Carry out quality reviews on completed works

Analyse customer feedback and service reports

Drive corrective and preventive actions following audits or reviews

Support ISO and external audit processes

Quoting & Technical Support
Prepare and review quotes for small works and remedial repairs

Support pricing accuracy and technical feasibility

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
Produce compliance, audit and competency reports

Present performance insights and improvement plans to management and clients

Act as the main point of contact for technical and compliance queries

Support contract mobilisation to ensure compliance from day one

What Theyre Looking For Proven experience in technical, compliance or quality management within fire, security or M&E services

Strong working knowledge of legislation, British Standards and compliance frameworks

Experience leading audits, managing training programmes and driving improvement

Confident communicator with the ability to influence across operational teams

Analytical mindset with strong reporting and problem-solving skills

Relevant technical or compliance qualifications preferred (e.g. FIA, NICEIC, BAFE or similar)
