On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Technical Accountant for an initial 6-month contract based in London. It is a hybrid model.
Purpose of the role:
This role supports the Year End Financial Reporting, external audit process, and ongoing financial reporting during the deauthorization and wind-down of Deutsche Numis entities. As part of a collaborative team within Deutsche Bank Group, it involves contributing to a wide range of technical accounting and reporting tasks during a period of transition and transformation.
What you'll do:
- Leading the preparation of a set of financial statements for Numis Corporation Ltd and its UK subsidiaries.
- Ensure the general ledger for each entity is complete and accurate and the balance sheets are fully substantiated.
- Understand the reporting systems and processes to support the financial statements.
- Plan and anticipate the requirements and respond to requests from the external auditor, EY and the Deutsche Bank finance team.
- Work closely and build strong relationships with other support functions including treasury and operational finance team and the wider external auditors and Deutsche Bank finance team.
- Support the Head of Risk in the deauthorisation and wind-down of the Numis UK entities.
Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience
- Qualified Accountant.
- Technical accounting skills and experience of preparing consolidated financial statements under IFRS
- Self-starter with an attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Enthusiastic and proactive with the ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
