We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join a childrens residential home supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes in a safe, nurturing environment.As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the management team with the day-to-day running of the home, providing guidance to support staff and ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker or Residential Support Worker looking to take the next step in their career within childrens residential care.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the management team in the day-to-day operation of the childrens residential homeLead shifts and provide guidance and support to residential staffEnsure care plans and risk assessments are followed and regularly reviewedSupport young people with their emotional, social and developmental needsPromote a safe, stable and nurturing environment for young peopleWork closely with social workers, families and other professionalsEnsure all safeguarding procedures and Ofsted regulations are adhered toMaintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirementsSupport staff development through mentoring and role modelling best practiceRequirementsExperience working within childrens residential careNVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent)Working towards or willing to complete Level 4/5 in Leadership and ManagementStrong communication and leadership skillsGood understanding of safeguarding and child protectionAbility to remain calm and resilient in challenging situationsA genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their full potentialWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryOngoing training and professional developmentA supportive and experienced management teamOpportunities for career progressionPension scheme and holiday entitlementIf you are a committed and motivated professional looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people, we would love to hear from you.SCR Social Care is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and adults.
