Team Leader – Corporate KYC / AML

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office)

Duration: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join a busy Corporate KYC/AML function, providing hands-on leadership and oversight of complex client due diligence activity. This role suits someone with strong presence and credibility, who is comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and motivating teams in a regulated professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team responsible for corporate KYC and AML reviews
• Act as a senior point of escalation for complex or high-risk matters
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including legal, compliance and business teams
• Ensure KYC/AML processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements
• Drive consistency, quality and continuous improvement across the team’s work
• Support change initiatives and help embed best practice across the function

About You

• Proven experience in Corporate KYC/AML within a legal or professional services environment
• Previous people management or team leadership experience
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge where appropriate
• A natural “people person” with gravitas and the ability to lead by example
• Highly organised, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
