As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver tailored lessons, providing one-to-one support to students and assisting with classroom management. You will be an integral part of the school's educational team, helping to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students across different key stages.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Classroom Instruction: Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
Individual & Group Support: Provide additional support to students who need extra help, ensuring they achieve their learning goals.
Differentiated Learning: Adapt lesson content and resources to suit individual learning needs, ensuring all students are able to access and succeed in the curriculum.
Behavioural Support: Support the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting students with emotional or behavioural challenges.
Monitoring Progress: Assist in tracking and assessing the progress of students to ensure learning objectives are achieved.
Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Contribute to the school's commitment to safeguarding, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students at all times.Key Skills & Qualities:
Passion for Education: A strong interest in working with children and helping them develop both academically and personally.
Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Adaptability: The ability to quickly adapt to different challenges and work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player: A collaborative approach to working with other staff members to enhance the learning experience.
Empathy & Patience: A caring attitude and the ability to support students with a range of learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Organised & Proactive: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a busy classroom setting.Essential Qualifications:
Experience working with children or young people (either in a classroom or extracurricular setting).
A genuine passion for education and supporting student development.
A clear DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) Desirable:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
