Tradewind Recruitment is currently supporting a welcoming and inclusive Secondary School in Blakely that requires a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for flexible, day-to-day supply work, starting as soon as possible.

The Role

This is not a long-term post. Instead, the school is seeking reliable and adaptable SEND support staff who are available for ad-hoc, day-to-day cover as required. This offers excellent flexibility and is ideal for candidates who prefer varied assignments or are seeking work around other commitments.

You will be supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.

Your duties may include:

Providing 1:1 and small group SEND support

Assisting students within mainstream lessons to access the curriculum

Implementing EHCP targets and differentiated learning strategies

Supporting positive behaviour management and emotional regulation

Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff

To be eligible, you must:

Have recent experience working in a UK school (secondary experience preferred)

Have experience supporting students with SEND

Be confident managing behaviour in a secondary setting

Be flexible and reliable for day-to-day supply work

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)

Pay & Benefits

Competitive daily rate of £95-£105 per day, depending on experience
