We are currently recruiting for a full - time Teaching Assistant to join a lovely school in a small village on the outskirts of Stafford. You will be required to be available for a full 5 day working week - Monday to Friday and the hours you will be expected to work are 8:30am - 15:30pm, you will be working through an agency on a temporary basis. You will be supporting a mixed Year 1 & Year 2 class, predominantly supporting a young girl on a 1:1 basis where needed. Your duties include providing ongoing support to the class teacher on a daily basis, assisting the teacher in delivering stimulating and enriching lessons in an environment where every child feels fulfilled. Your duties may also range to supporting an individual pupil within the classroom who needs some additional support. You must be confident in building trusting and valuable relationships with both staff and pupils. The role includes: Providing support to children & staff on a daily basis in all aspects of school life. To collaborate and work alongside the class teacher to create plans on how to adapt and suit the needs of all children in the classroom. Supporting those children in the classroom whom may require more individualised support; liaising with the teacher to create a tailored plan in which how you will support the pupil. Comfortable communicating with staff, parents and external professionals. Comfortable in providing SEND support for individual pupils including those with an EHCP. We are looking for someone who: Can support a whole class within the Key Stage 1 age range. Confidently able to implement learning activities, adapt resources and provide valuable support to every child during lesson time. Monitor progress; liaising with teachers, parents, SENDCo and external agencies. May be required to run small group interventions such as guided reading, phonics etc. Responsibilities may also include providing 1:1 support where needed. Able to foster and maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment. Available to start ASAP. Fully registered to work for Academics. Holds or willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the update service. Willing to commute to Stafford daily. Pay £93 - £100 a day, holiday pay is included in the day rate.
