A lovely and welcoming primary school in Camden is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil from January. This full-time temporary role is ideal for someone who is patient, consistent and committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

Role: Teaching Assistant (KS2 1:1)
Start Date: Second week of January 2026
Location: Camden, London
Contract: Full time - temporary (January to the end of the academic year)
Pay: £500 - £560 per week

Responsibilities

As the Teaching Assistant, provide consistent 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil throughout the school day
Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities and resources
Support engagement, focus and positive behaviour using agreed strategies
Encourage independence, confidence and inclusion within the classroom
Monitor progress and feedback observations to teaching staff

Requirements

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Experience supporting pupils in KS2 or a similar age range
Able to build positive, respectful and trusting relationships with pupils
Calm, patient and proactive approach to learning and behaviour support
Available full time from January for the duration of the role
