Teaching Assistant – Bootle (Secondary ASD Support – Science Department)

Exclusive Education is currently seeking a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis within a Secondary School in the Bootle area of Liverpool. This role will involve supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within the Science department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience working with students with additional needs and is passionate about supporting their academic and personal development in a structured secondary school environment.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to secondary students with ASD within Science lessons • Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging with practical and theory-based Science activities • Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to implement tailored support strategies • Help manage behaviour and support students with social and communication needs • Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and practical equipment • Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers and SEN staff • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
