Salary: £95 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Birmingham. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs while promoting independence, engagement, and positive outcomes.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting primary aged pupils with a range of SEND needs including ASD and SEMH, working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support, manage behaviours, and ensure pupils remain engaged in learning.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• Experience working within a SEND setting
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH or additional needs
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
