Academics, a trusted supply agency proudly supporting local schools for over 15 years, is looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Congleton.

The Role

You will be working full time in a Reception classroom, supporting the class teacher and helping pupils settle into school life. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm for the duration of the summer Term.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Assisting with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
Supporting learning through play and continuous provision
Helping children develop social skills, confidence, and independence
Working closely with the teacher to create a safe, engaging environment

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience working with young children (school or nursery experience desirable)
Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic about early years education
Has a good understanding of EYFS (preferred but not essential)
Is reliable and committed to a full-time role
Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
