Teaching Assistant  Location: Medway Contract: Full-Time, Monday–Friday Setting: Secondary School Start Date: ASAP or by agreement Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated TA to support students with high needs within a welcoming secondary school in Medway. About the Role: Full-time position, Monday to Friday Supporting students with high needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis Assisting with learning, behaviour regulation, and classroom engagement Working collaboratively with SENDCo, teachers, and other support staff Helping create an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes independence and progress Requirements: Experience supporting students with high needs, SEN, or behavioural needs (preferred) Strong communication and teamwork skills Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) What the School Offers: Supportive SEND department and leadership team Ongoing training and development opportunities A nurturing school environment focused on individual growth Competitive pay based on experience
