At Hays Education, we are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Preston seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible on a permanent basis.Your new roleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including those with additional learning needs
• Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and raise pupil attainment
• Provide tailored one-to-one or small-group support - specifically with Maths & English
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Contribute to the wider school community, e.g. support with break/lunchtime supervision, attend school trips or invigilate exams

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting
• Experience supporting SEND students would be beneficial to the role.
• A relevant TA qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
• A proactive, supportive, and resilient attitude
• Immediate or near-immediate availability to start
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks and full referencing as required for safeguarding compliance.
