Role: SEN Tecahing Assistant

Salary: £23 - £27k per Annum

Location: SEN Teaching Assistant

Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only - Start time 8.15am -3:30pm

Join our dynamic team in Crawley as a SEMH Teaching Assistant. Your role will involve supporting classroom activities, helping students with special educational needs, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and provide feedback on pupil behaviour, relationships, and attitudes.
• Encourage positive conduct and concentration, responding effectively to behavioural changes.
• Develop positive rapport with pupils to foster a secure and engaging learning environment.
• Support independence and personal growth while maintaining high standards of behaviour.
• Deliver and adapt learning activities under teacher guidance, reinforcing key concepts.
• Organise and provide resources to support lesson objectives.
• Facilitate inclusive learning experiences that promote achievement across all curriculum areas.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A patient, caring and positive attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• Previous experience working with children in a school setting
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable
