SEND Teaching AssistantWalsall (accessible via public transport and a short walk for non-drivers)£110-£115 per dayStart Date: ASAPContract: Full-time, long-term temp-to-perm (Full Academic Year)Long Term Futures is seeking to appoint a highly professional, nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant that is looking to take the next step in their career by working within a SEND School.If you're an energetic, engaging professional with a strong background in SEND, and are passionate about supporting children with additional needs, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.About the RoleWorking closely with class teachers, SENCo, and other professionals, your responsibilities will include but won't be limited to:

• Setting specific goals and expectations to individual children

• Supporting class teachers in delivering positive reinforcement where necessary
• Delivering accurate feedback to other education professionals and parents
• Alongside the class teacher, delivering fantastic, well-structured lessons
• Using areas of the school, such as sensory rooms, to regulate behaviours and emotions
• Encouraging self-reflection where necessary

Ideal candidate profile

• Fantastic knowledge of SEND and the ability to be flexible with different needs
• A solid understanding of the national curriculum
• A nurturing, caring demeanour is essential when building trust with students
• Able to set, and enforce, clear and consistent boundaries with pupils
• Flexibility and resilience are important - No two days are the same!
• Knowledge of safeguarding, and the willingness to undertake further training
