Teaching Assistant – SEMH Support All-Through School | Horsham Area Full-Time, 8:30-3:30 | Term-Time Only
Start Date: ASAP Salary: £92.63 daily rate – paid weekly
Are you a compassionate, resilient, and proactive individual with a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive all-through school in the Horsham area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs across primary and secondary phases.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to implement behaviour and learning strategies.
* Assist in the development and delivery of personalised learning plans.
* Support the emotional wellbeing of students, helping them to build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience working with SEMH students or in a similar SEN support role (preferred).
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
