Teaching Assistant – SEMH & ASD Support Location: Harrow, Northwick Park Pay: £90 – £96 per day Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Start Date: Immediately or with notice Contract: Temporary-to-permanent with full training provided
Zest Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Northwick Park, Harrow, that caters for students aged 9 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
We’re currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team on a full-time basis. This position will be via the agency for the initial probationary period, with a view to joining the school on a permanent contract upon successfully passing probation.
We’re looking for people who have worked with pupils in a mainstream or SEN setting, but will also consider those with transferable skills from sectors such as youth work, coaching, mental health, residential care, or customer service.
What you’ll be doing:
* Building trust and positive relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or disrupted upbringings
* Supporting young people in the classroom and around school
* Helping students access their learning and manage emotions throughout the day
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
