The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to a pupil with autism who exhibits some challenging behaviour. As well as supporting within the mainstream class and working in the provision for children with autism and communication needs. This role requires patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to managing and supporting the pupil's needs. Provide tailored support to the pupil, helping them to engage with the curriculum and participate in classroom activities. Implement strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviour, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, promoting the pupil's social and emotional development. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the pupil's care. Experience working with children with autism and/or challenging behaviour.
