The school will support young people aged 11-16 with social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing needs, often associated with Autism. Your new role We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our founding team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the school's journey from the very beginning. You will primarily be based at the Chaldon site, with occasional work at a satellite site in Caterham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning, wellbeing, and personal development. You'll help create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive, while also assisting with care needs and positive behaviour management when required.Ensure the safety and welfare of pupils in line with school policies, including safeguarding and PREVENT. Building Relationships: Establish trust and positive connections with pupils to help them feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. Learning Support: Assist teachers by preparing resources, reinforcing learning concepts, and adapting activities to suit pupils' needs. Curriculum Delivery: Help deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring pupils reach their full potential across all areas of learning. A GCSE Maths and English qualification at a minimum grade 4 or equivalent is essential. L2 award for supporting teaching and learning in schools or equivalent or willingness to work towards Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures Experience working within education is advantageous.
