The Role Responsibilities will include: * Supporting students with learning difficulties and autism across a variety of subjects and year groups (Years 7–11) * Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs * Providing one-to-one or small group support to help pupils develop communication, social, and learning skills * Implementing strategies to support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), including the use of visual aids, structured routines, and positive behaviour approaches * Helping pupils manage transitions and regulate emotions throughout the school day * Encouraging independence, resilience, and confidence in all aspects of learning and personal development * Supporting teachers in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment What We’re Looking For * Experience working with children or young people with additional or special educational needs (school or care settings welcome) * A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting learners with diverse needs * Strong communication and teamwork skills * A proactive attitude with a genuine passion for helping young people succeed Essential Requirements * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people * Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals * A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) * A positive, resilient, and caring attitude towards supporting pupils with additional needs Why Join Masterclass Education? * Weekly pay (PAYE) * A fantastic holiday scheme * Dedicated consultants offering personal guidance and ongoing support * Free access to the MCE Learning Portal – CPD-accredited online training in the latest SEN and educational practices * Flexible work options to suit your lifestyle At Masterclass Education, we’re passionate about connecting dedicated professionals with schools where they can make a lasting impact.
