The role South Hampstead High School is seeking a dynamic, energetic and inspirational Teacher of Physics to join our Science department from September 2026. As a Teacher of Physics, you will work with highly motivated and talented pupils from across the school, delivering well-organised, engaging and challenging Physics lessons that meet learners’ needs and expectations and are designed to raise levels of attainment. We are looking for a passionate subject specialist with a genuine enthusiasm for Physics. You may be an experienced teacher with a proven track record of success or a well-qualified early career teacher or graduate who is ready to begin their teaching journey. The Physics Department Students at South Hampstead are bright, engaged and committed Scientists. They value scholarship and academic rigour, and as a result, are a genuine pleasure to teach. Our students enjoy hands-on Science learning, and they value demonstrations and experiments. Each year, our students participate in the UK Space Design competition, and we also have a Space Society, run by Key Stage 5 students. We also offer a range of exciting trips, such as our biannual visit to CERN and a Physics lecture trip. We offer students the opportunity to participate in various competitions, such as the Physics Olympiads or the St. Helen’s Physics Tournament.
