An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Teacher of French to join our team at our excellently resourced Aith Junior High School and Whalsay School. Our beautiful location offers great opportunities for learning and we benefit from an excellently resourced school, at the heart of a caring, supportive community. Aith Junior High School is a non-denominational school located in Aith on the west side of Shetland. The structure of the school is a nursery class, 5 composite primary classes and a secondary department from S1-S4. There is currently a total of 237 pupils on the roll. The current Head Teacher is Mr Michael Spence. Further information can be found on the schools website at Whalsay School is a non-denominational school located in Symbister, Whalsay. It provides nursery, primary and secondary education up to S4 for children from the whole island of Whalsay. The structure of the school is a nursery setting, 4 composite primary classes and S1-4 secondary classes. There is currently a total of 164 pupils on the roll, inclusive of all phases. The school is managed by a Head Teacher and a Depute Head Teacher (job-share). The current staffing complement is 17 part-time/full time teachers assisted by support staff as required to meet school demands.
