VAT Director

Location: London

Salary: £100,000 to £125,000 plus bonus

Are you an experienced VAT specialist looking for a leadership role in a people-focused, forward-thinking environment?

This is a senior position within a growing VAT team based in London, offering hybrid working up to three days from home. You will join a dynamic national tax practice where your ideas are welcomed, your development is supported, and your impact is recognised.

What you will be doing

• Leading complex UK and international VAT advisory projects
• Overseeing compliance and driving improvements in process and delivery
• Contributing to business development across the London office
• Managing and developing a team of Managers and Assistants
• Representing VAT in internal groups, sector discussions, and technical forums
• Working alongside other service lines to enhance the visibility and value of VAT

About the team

You will be part of a close-knit London VAT team of eight, working in collaboration with a wider national group of experienced specialists. This is a team where senior support is real, expertise is shared, and building something ambitious and inclusive is a shared goal.

What we are looking for

• ACA or CTA qualified, or equivalent experience
• Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT, with an understanding of international considerations
• Confident in both delivering complex advice and reviewing the work of others
• Proven ability to lead people and projects effectively
• Strong relationship builder, both internally and with clients
• A proactive contributor to a positive and ambitious team culture
