Salary: Circa £62,000 (depending on skills and experience) + 10% bonus

Job Description:

As a member of the T45 COM Asset Management Platform Team. You will be responsible for the management, development and implementation of future support models for the Type 45 Class, defining principles and transition pathways for future Warship Support ways of working, ensuring coherent, consistent adoption across the enterprise.

You will play a key role in delivering a long-term support plan for the Destroyer class providing improved support and maintenance delivery. To achieve this, you will act as an integrator and champion for Future Support across the Type 45 class.

Core duties:

  • You will assist the development and implementation of future support models for the Type 45 Class, defining principles, transition pathways and intended benefits across the enterprise
  • You will champion future support approaches to build organizational understanding, capability and commitment to change
  • You will drive changes to business processes, structures and behaviours to align with future operating models
  • You will provide leadership and coordination across delivery teams to ensure integrated, coherent and aligned ways of working
  • You will engage and influence stakeholders across the T45 community and wider enterprise to build alignment and secure adoption of new ways of working. Facilitate key meetings, working groups, and decision forums that underpin transition, integration and delivery

Essential Skills:

  • You will bring knowledge and experience in the Maritime Sector and/or in dealing with Ministry of Defence, an understanding of the Common Support Model would be advantageous
  • You will have an understanding of industry policy and process related to ship support
  • You will be aware of platform systems and procedures
  • You will bring Project Management skills into this role to help drive cross-functional teams and deliver desired outcomes

The Type 45 Class Output Management team:

The T45 Class Output Management (COM) Team coordinates maintenance, engineering, and availability planning for Type 45 destroyers, ensuring work packages are delivered efficiently, risks managed, and stakeholders aligned to keep each ship operational, safe, and ready for Royal Navy tasking
