We are seeking a high-calibre Systems Project Engineer to lead the technical delivery and integration of a world-leading RF ecosystem, including advanced sensor hardware and software platforms.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical execution of complex projects, ensuring systems meet the highest standards of spectrum intelligence. This role bridges the gap between high-level mission requirements and hands-on technical implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Technical Project Leadership: Responsible for all aspects of the full systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, and testing. ● System Integration: Overseeing the creation and development of software and hardware configurations for advanced distributed spectral monitoring systems. ● Specification & Design: Creation of functional designs and technical specifications to ensure system performance aligns with customer mission goals. ● Validation & Quality: Maintaining a rigorous approach to testing, ensuring that distributed sensor networks deliver robust and high-quality data. ● Peer Review & Mentorship: Reviewing technical designs and configurations to provide constructive feedback, ensuring they align with required quality standards. ● Technical Documentation: Producing comprehensive documentation and training to support the deployment and operation of complex sensor systems.
Experience and Qualifications Required ● System Optimization: Proven experience developing and optimizing complex software and hardware systems in a Linux environment. ● Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability to navigate the challenges of UK defense procurement and system integration.
● Clean Engineering: Attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality, robust systems with a focus on clean implementation. ● Collaborative Ownership: Must demonstrate clear ownership of project delivery while maintaining effective teamwork and communication. ● Technical Environment: Strong understanding of Linux-based systems and networked environments.
Highly Desirable ● Signal Processing: Demonstrable experience in signal processing or sensor data analysis. ● Modern Languages: Knowledge of or interest in modern programming languages like C++17 or Rust. Desirable Skills
● Educational Background: A science or engineering degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a similar field. ● Technical Toolkit: Experience with Python, Docker, Git, and Linux shell scripting. ● Networked Systems: Proven experience with distributed and networked system architectures. ● Low-Level Knowledge: Understanding of kernel technologies and driver implementation.
