We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join a specialist engineering team working across airborne and acoustic defence systems. This is an opportunity to work in a highly innovative environment, designing and developing advanced solutions that make a real-world impact.
The Role As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a range of research, development, test and evaluation activities across multi-disciplinary science and engineering projects. You'll support the development of airborne anti-submarine warfare systems, working closely with technical teams and customers to deliver high-integrity, mission-critical capability. Day-to-day, you'll be part of a collaborative engineering team designing, testing and refining complex systems that push the boundaries of innovation.
What You'll Be Doing Applying systems or software engineering lifecycle principles to challenging defence problems Using rapid-prototyping to influence and validate system design Collaborating with a dynamic engineering team while taking ownership of individual tasks Supporting delivery of acoustic systems requiring sensor and aircraft simulation using high-fidelity test signals Contributing hands-on technical expertise to deliver advanced, mission-winning solutions
Essential Experience Understanding of the Systems and/or Software Engineering lifecycle Previous experience working within a Systems Engineering environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
Essential Qualifications Degree in Physics, Maths, Oceanography, Electronics, or a relevant engineering discipline (Candidates with equivalent technical experience are also encouraged to apply.)
