The successful contractor will work as part of a specialist engineering team, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of complex network systems.This role requires strong hands-on expertise across enterprise networking technologies, with a particular focus on Cisco and firewall technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, support, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructureConfigure and manage network hardware including routers, firewalls, and switchesProvide operational support for mission-critical systems in a high-availability environmentWork with Cisco networking technologies across LAN, WAN, and security domainsSupport and maintain firewall solutions, including Palo AltoOperate and manage Nokia 7705 platformsParticipate in on-site support at airport locations when requiredEnsure compliance with security, operational, and safety standardsCollaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve network issues and implement changesRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Network / Systems Engineer in complex environmentsStrong expertise in Cisco networking technologiesHands-on experience with routers and firewallsExperience with Palo Alto firewallsWorking knowledge of Nokia 7705 platformsStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsAbility to work in operationally critical, regulated environmentsQualificationsCCNA (required)CCNP (preferred)Working PatternHybrid working model: 2-3 days per week onsite in WhiteleyFlexibility to attend airport sites occasionally (typically one-week periods)JBRP1_UKTJ
