Systems Engineer – UK MoD & Government Systems Location: Redhill (UK) Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 Are you an experienced Systems Engineer with a passion for delivering secure, technically robust solutions for government and defence environments? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing, configuring and delivering mission-critical systems that support security and operational capability. You’ll join a proactive engineering team working on complex, high-impact projects across the UK. What you’ll be doing You’ll be responsible for delivering end-to-end technical support across government and defence projects, including: Designing and configuring systems for MoD/Government programmes. Liaising with project teams to support timely and accurate delivery of assigned work. Testing and evaluating new equipment to ensure compliance with technical specifications. Ensuring all technical documentation and drawings are produced to a high standard. Verifying equipment and software against project requirements and performance criteria. Visiting customer sites when required to support project roll-outs and technical activity. Defining IP structures and providing technical guidance for system implementations. Supporting customer meetings, future system enhancements, and solution planning. Participating in the MoD/Government duty engineering rota, offering technical support when needed. What we’re looking for To thrive in this role, you’ll bring: Strong understanding of networks and system design within secure or regulated environments. The ability to take ownership of tasks, make sound decisions and follow through to completion. Experience interpreting and delivering technical requirements for complex engineering projects. Confidence in producing accurate documentation and working closely with cross-functional teams. Eligibility to obtain, or already hold, UK Security Clearance (SC or DV depending on project needs). A relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience is , but strong practical experience in MoD/Government or secure systems engineering is equally valued.
