Powertrain Systems Engineer – Sensors & Gas Path (Contract)\n\nWe are recruiting a Powertrain Systems Engineer (PTSE) to support the design, development and release of fuel and evaporative emissions systems for a major automotive OEM programme.\n\nThis role is suited to an engineer with hands-on fuel system hardware experience who has owned components through design, validation and launch, working closely with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead design, development and release of powertrain fuel system components\n\n * Ownership of Fuel Tank, Fuel Filler, Filler Pipe, Filler Hose, Fuel Cap, Fuel Delivery Module (FDM), Charcoal Canister, EVAP lines and Leak Detection Systems\n\n * Apply Failure Mode Avoidance, FMEA / FMA, 8D problem solving and root cause analysis\n\n * Support APQP, EBER and launch activities\n\n * Systems engineering activities including requirements management, integration and verification\n\n * Manage suppliers and support cost, quality and timing targets\n\nEssential Experience\n\n * Automotive Powertrain / Fuel Systems Engineering\n\n * Design and release of fuel or EVAP hardware components\n\n * Strong understanding of EVAP systems and emissions\n\n * Experience with FMEA, 8D, warranty or failure investigation\n\n * Background in OEM or Tier 1 automotive environments\n\nDesirable\n\n * Systems engineering methodologies\n\n * APQP / launch experience\n\n * Supplier management exposure\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile vehicle programmes, gaining exposure to OEM engineering standards and complex powertrain systems.\n\nApply now or contact us for a confidential discussion
