Role Description
We’re hiring a Sustainability Data Analyst with 1–3 years of experience to join our growing team. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Birchwood, Warrington, with flexibility for remote working.
In this role, you'll lead on data-focused workstreams across client projects, helping businesses measure their carbon footprints, analyse their data, and shape their net zero strategies. You’ll work in a supportive, fast-paced team where your insights make a real impact.

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per year (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct GHG emissions assessments (Scopes 1, 2 and 3) in line with the GHG Protocol
- Lead data workstreams, advising on methodologies and carbon accounting principles
- Analyse large datasets to identify emissions trends, hotspots, and reduction opportunities
- Build and maintain carbon models, templates, and calculations
- Conduct research and extract credible data sources for bespoke client needs
- Support carbon assurance and data validation for audit readiness
- Create client-ready reports, dashboards, and data visualisations
- Contribute to life cycle assessments (LCAs) for products and services
- Participate in client meetings/workshops, translating complex analysis into clear insights
- Provide QA and technical support to junior analysts
- Continuously improve data systems and internal workflows
What we're looking for
Essential
- 1–3 years’ experience in sustainability, carbon management, or carbon accounting
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with tools like Excel, R, Power BI (or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Confident communicator with experience in client-facing roles
- Highly self-motivated with strong initiative – we’re a small team, and everyone plays a big role
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Passionate about sustainability and driving change
Desirable
- Masters degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Knowledge of the GHG Protocol, SBTi, or other carbon reporting frameworks
- Familiarity with carbon accounting software, emissions factor databases, and LCA tools
