We are partnering with a leading consultancy to recruit a Sustainability Consultant for their Manchester studio. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking team delivering sustainable solutions across a broad range of high-profile projects.

The Role
Work closely with clients and internal teams to develop and implement sustainability strategies
Carry out environmental assessments and provide practical, data-driven recommendations
Track and report on sustainability performance across projects
Support continuous improvement in environmental performance across both projects and operations
Engage in ongoing learning and development through training, mentoring, and CPD activities
Contribute to a collaborative team culture through participation in studio and company-wide initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Develop sustainability strategies, including frameworks for monitoring and reporting performance
Deliver net zero carbon studies and advisory services
Provide guidance on NABERS and wider ESG requirements
Lead or support environmental certification processes such as BREEAM, LEED, SKA, and WELL
Carry out life cycle assessments using tools such as One Click LCA
Support compliance with environmental standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001
Keep up to date with evolving legislation, policy, and industry trends to inform project delivery
About You
Experience within sustainability consultancy in the built environment
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and industry drivers
Track record of delivering sustainability strategies and certification processes
Familiarity with key frameworks and tools including BREEAM, LEED, WELL, NABERS, SKA, and LCA software
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
