You’ll be joining our in-house Design & Build team, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure across Scotland.

Our surveyors provide critical early insight that informs design decisions, highlights risk and supports buildability. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers and delivery teams, ensuring accurate information is available from the very start of the project lifecycle.

Role Summary

This is a delivery-focused surveying role within M Group Water’s in-house Design & Build function. You’ll carry out surveys that directly influence engineering decisions, reduce construction risk and support safe delivery. This role goes beyond data capture - you’ll actively engage with project teams, landowners and stakeholders to ensure survey information is accurate, understood and applied.

What will you be doing?

Undertaking surveys to capture accurate asset, environmental and site data

Identifying constraints and risks and communicating them clearly to engineers

Supporting design development with reliable, timely survey information

Engaging with landowners and third-party stakeholders

Working closely with engineering and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle

Ensuring surveys support safe, buildable and efficient construction

What you’ll bring

Proven surveying experience within infrastructure or construction environments

Ability to identify and clearly communicate risk and constraints

Confidence engaging with technical teams and external stakeholders

A proactive, organised approach to field and office-based work
