Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor\n\n West Midlands (Birmingham & surrounding areas)\n £50,000 - £70,000 + package (exceptional candidates up to £75,000 considered)\n Regional main contractor\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are working with a well-established regional main contractor that has secured three live and upcoming building projects in the West Midlands, centred around the Birmingham area.\n\nAs a Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for one or more projects (depending on experience), working closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure strong commercial control and successful delivery.\n\nThis role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on with live projects, embedded with delivery teams, rather than operating in a purely freelance or consultancy-style capacity.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFull commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account\nProcurement and management of subcontract packages\nPreparation of valuations, variations, and cost reports\nCashflow forecasting and cost control\nSubcontractor and supplier relationship management\nChange control and risk/opportunity management\nSupporting commercial governance and reporting\nWorking collaboratively with project and site teams to drive value and performance\nOverseeing large refurbs of Police Stations - £15m refurbishmentsAbout You\n\nProven experience as a Project QS or Senior QS with a main contractor\nBackground in building projects (e.g. commercial, education, healthcare, residential, mixed-use)\nComfortable managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders\nStrong commercial awareness and communication skills\nSeeking a permanent position within a stable contractor environment\nBased in, or able to commute to, the West Midlands / Birmingham areaThis role is best suited to candidates looking for a long-term opportunity rather than short-term freelance or interim assignments.\n\nSalary & Package\n\n£50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience\nExceptional candidates up to £75,000 may be considered\nCar allowance or company car\nPension and additional benefits\nClear long-term progression opportunities \n\nRG Setsquare is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
